The Hikvision DS-2DE2C200MWG-E is a feature-rich 2-megapixel mini pan-tilt (PT) network camera from Hikvision's Value Series, designed to deliver intelligent, wide-area surveillance for residential and small commercial environments.
At its core, the camera uses a 1/2.9" Progressive Scan CMOS sensor capable of capturing Full HD 1920×1080 resolution at up to 30fps. Its Smart Hybrid Light system combines both IR and white light illuminators, offering a range of up to 30 metres for both white light and IR illumination at an 850nm wavelength — ensuring crisp, detailed footage in complete darkness or low-light conditions.
The camera's PT mechanism provides a pan range of 0° to 345° and tilt range of 0° to 80°, with pan speeds up to 25°/s and tilt speeds up to 20°/s, enabling broad scene coverage without blind spots. The Auto-tracking Lite feature allows the camera to automatically follow detected human subjects within the scene, making it ideal for entrances, driveways, and open areas.
Intelligent analytics are built in: motion detection supports alarm triggering by specified target types (human), along with video tampering alarms and exception detection. Alarm linkage options include upload to FTP or memory card, email alerts, audible warnings, and auto-tracking activation.
The built-in microphone and speaker enable real-time two-way audio communication, adding an active deterrence layer. The built-in microSD/SDHC/SDXC card slot supports up to 512 GB of local storage, providing edge recording without relying solely on an NVR.
Video compression supports H.265, H.264, and MJPEG, allowing efficient bandwidth usage without compromising image quality. Power options include 12 VDC or PoE (IEEE 802.3af), offering flexible installation. The camera is rated IP66 for dust and water resistance and operates in temperatures ranging from -30°C to 40°C, making it dependable in harsh outdoor environments.
Remote management is supported via the Hik-Connect cloud service and mobile app, enabling live viewing and configuration from anywhere. Available in 2.8mm and 4mm fixed lens variants to suit different field-of-view requirements.
